a day full of meaningful details
Long time loves, Grace and Nick tied the knot at one of our favorite Kiawah Island venues, the River Course. Their day was full of meaningful details that made this glam affair one for the books! Grace carried a bouquet laced with anthurium which her mom carried on her wedding day. Her father not only walked her down the aisle, but also officiated the wedding ceremony, creating the most intimate and meaningful setting for such an important part of the day. The couple also leaned into Nick’s heritage, featuring a few custom Brazilian traditions such as the brigaderio (petite desserts) display after dinner.
Their intentional approach to design started with their save the dates.
The couple chose a custom watercolor that featured an egret elegantly resting on a dock, completed with a vellum overlay outlining the details of their weekend. The same egret was then incorporated into the design for the wedding invitations and the wedding weekend printed material via an elegantly affixed mauve wax seal. The egret was more than a motif, it was the perfect understated brand for the couple and cohesive symbol to tie together all of their wedding paper.
a glam and Gold reception
The reception donned glam decor elements and focused on mauve, gold and nude tones throughout the design. The ballroom featured a floor to ceiling candle wall surrounding the curved rotunda of the dining area and cast the most romantic wash of amber light throughout the room. Once guests were finished with dinner, everyone gathered in the dance tent where they celebrated the remainder of the evening under a canopy of amorous floral and crystal beaded pendant lights.
