Organic Delicacy at The Dunlin

The Dunlin by Auberge Resorts Collection, Kiawah River’s newest luxury resort, opened its doors to a celebration unlike any other—the very first wedding, designed and planned by A Charleston Bride. Situated along the serene marshlands, the venue provided a picturesque coastal backdrop. Our goal for Lydia and Donald’s wedding day was to elevate that natural beauty with a design that felt timeless, elegant, and truly bespoke to the Lowcountry’s charm

A Glam Affair at the River Course

Long time loves, Grace and Nick tied the knot at one of our favorite Kiawah Island venues, the River Course. Their day was full of meaningful details that made this glam affair one for the books! Grace carried a bouquet laced with anthurium which her mom carried on her wedding day. Her father not only walked her down the aisle, but also officiated the wedding ceremony, creating the most intimate and meaningful setting for such an important part of the day. The couple also leaned into Nick’s heritage, featuring a few custom Brazilian traditions such as the brigaderio (petite desserts) display after dinner.

Something Borrowed and Something Blue at the William Aiken House

Elizabeth and Phil’s love story began in DC but they tied the knot at the classic venue, William Aiken House, just minutes away from Elizabeth’s Charleston roots. One of our favorite design approaches at this venue is making the space feel like it is an extension of the couple’s own home and for this special day, the outside reception space was designed to feel like the couple’s backyard garden. Sweet seating vignettes, garden style potted trees and romantic lanterns and candle light throughout the space made for the most romantic setting.

Sage and Blush River Course Wedding

After having to postpone their Spring wedding, Courtney and Chance exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends a few months later in this beautiful Summer wedding at the River Course. The Clemson grads married on the back lawn overlooking the River. EM Creative incorporated the sweetest pops of orange floral as a nod to their alma mater. One of our favorite design elements of the night was the escort display overflowing with florals and candles that created the perfect photo backdrop for guests. And because he couldn’t celebrate with the couple day-of, Ashley Brown Cake Design designed the sweetest wedding cake including Bear, the couple’s dog, on the back!

A Private Island Wedding off the Coast of Charleston

Dewees is a private paradise off the coast of Charleston, South Carolina. So private, in fact, that the only way to get there is by boat and immediately upon arrival you trade in your car keys for a golf cart key! Home to very few full-time residents and a wildlife preserve, Dewees Island is the perfect place to take a step back, explore the beauty of the Lowcountry and in Annie + Evan’s case, GET MARRIED! Annie spent a lot of time on Dewees growing up and some of her favorite childhood memories were made here so it was only fitting that the first place she and Evan travelled to together was this very place!
